Vacation Over

Welcome back blog fans for another exciting week of pop culture reporting. It is finale week for on Fox. House is going to risk his life to save Wilson’s other girlfriend, Amber, the first one being House himself. For those who haven’t kept up with the goings on this season Amber is a House with a vagina. Bones also wraps up this week. Last week would have been the perfect cliff hanger with Seely getting shot, but no we had to throw in another episode bringing back a villain of the past. Then there is that other show on Fox.
This week will wrap up another non cliff hanger, and may well be as much of a disappointment in America’s taste of music since Macarena. The question on American Idol this week will not be who is better, but who has the bigger fan base. Will all the middle aged women formerly in love with Clay Aiken profess their love for a teen idol that they are sure likes girls this time? Will those who are about to rock stand with David Cook? In some respects I want Archuleta to win this so he can go make a sucky one hit wonder album and then disappear until VH-1 needs another burnout to sit next to Ace Frehley, Danny Bonaduce, and C.C. DeVille.
Finally let’s wrap up last week’s less than stellar news. Moments after California’s High Court announced gays could marry. The ever hot Portia de Rossi and the very funny Ellen announced they would get hitched. I am waiting for Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels follow suit. I suppose I could check Tammy’s blog for details. To prove he isn’t as girly as he seems Pete Wentz and his emo bangs married fellow wannabe diva Ashlee Simpson in a very straight forward ceremony someone called it. It should be noted that Dallas Cowboy fans hoped Tony Romo bringing Jessica Simpson to the wedding will have the same effect on the marriage as it had on T.O’s ability to win them the Super Bowl.
The weekend’s movie news has Prince Caspian taking top honors. Everyone I have talked to said it was better than The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. I don’t recall the book being better, but most movie fans seem to be easily impressed. I would like to also welcome the new movie reviewers that have signed on and am eagerly awaiting their first reviews.

I really enjoyed Prince Caspian. It was visually stunning and had a great story line. I still liked the book better then the movie as is usually the case but the movie was still worth seeing.
